Former K-State All-Americans Nicole Ohlde (2000-04) and Kendra Wecker (2001-05) were honored on the Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball 10th Anniversary Team as announced by the league office Feb. 7.

The five-member anniversary team was selected by a combined media panel and online fan poll. In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been an All-Big 12 First Team selection at least once in their careers at their respective school.

Ohlde and Wecker were joined by Baylor's Sophia Young (2002-Present), Iowa State 's Angie Welle (1998-02) and Oklahoma 's Stacey Dales-Schuman (1997-02). Ohlde was a two-time Big 12 Player of the Year selection in 2003 and 2004, while Wecker earned the honor in 2005.

Both former Wildcats still rank No. 1 and No. 2 in both the K-State and Big 12 record books in career scoring. Last year, Wecker became the first Wildcat in school history to reach 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career with a school-record 2,333 points and 1,087 rebounds. Ohlde ranks second in both career categories with 2,241 points and 995 rebounds. Both are enjoying professional playing careers in the WNBA, Ohlde with the Minnesota Lynx and Wecker with the San Antonio Silver Stars.

In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the league, anniversary teams are being chosen for each conference varsity sport during the 2005-06 season. Over 1,800 women's basketball fans participated in online voting through the league's website.
