Legislative advocacy efforts help communicate views to legislators. The future of Kansas depends on enhancing the state's investment in Regents institutions and informing legislators of the university's impact on the state.

On Feb. 8, 2003, the boards of directors of the K-State and KU Alumni Associations came together to propose a joint resolution in support of higher education to Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

K-State employees can enjoy the outcome of the Kansas Legislature's 2006 session every two weeks with larger numbers on their paychecks. Raises for classified and unclassified staff were part of the good news that came out of the session that ended in May.
