Legislative advocacy

Legislative advocacy efforts help communicate views to legislators. The future of Kansas depends on enhancing the state's investment in Regents institutions and informing legislators of the university's impact on the state.

Cats in the Capitol
Last month, we asked for your assistance when the Kansas Legislature was considering double digit reductions to K-State's FY 2010 State General Fund budget. Your help made a difference because the Legislature adopted Gov. Sebelius' recommendations and passed a FY 2010 budget bill that reduced K-State's budget by 7 percent.
The bill will allow K-State the flexibility to adjust tuition for select talented, non-resident students seeking to attend K-State.
