Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Awards
The K-State Alumni Association is providing two $5,000 awards for K-State faculty this year made possible with funding from Ron and Rae Iman, Albuquerque, N.M.
An award will be presented for both outstanding research and teaching. Selection of the 2009-2010 outstanding faculty is currently underway. Both awards will be presented during a reception at the K-State Alumni Center Monday, Nov. 9, 2010.
Dr. Iman '62, '70, '73, has been a life member of the K-State Alumni Association since 1963 and continues to be actively involved with the university. He is a past member of the K-State Alumni Association Board of Directors, a KSU Foundation trustee and a member of the Arts and Sciences Advisory Council for Kansas State University. He was the recipient of the Arts and Sciences Distinguished Service Award in 1996.
Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Research
The Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Research, sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association, will be awarded to a full-time K-State faculty member who has distinguished his or herself in their chosen profession and who has contributed significantly through research to improve the betterment of the educational experience or whose research has had a significant impact on his or her area of study. One annual award with a $5,000 stipend will be presented to a K-State faculty member with a full-time appointment for the 2009-2010 school year.
Award Criteria
- Nominee must be a full-time K-State faculty member
- Nominee must have been on faculty at K-State for a minimum of five years
- Nominee must be available Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, for the awards reception

The Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching, sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association, is designed to honor excellence in high quality of instruction, strong relationships with students inside and outside of the classroom and reputation for scholarship and distinguished service to the university. One annual award with a $5,000 stipend will be presented to a K-State faculty member with a full-time appointment for the 2009-2010 school year.
