Compliance Information

Boosters, Alumni and Fans
The Kansas State University Athletic Department takes great pride in abiding by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big 12 Conference rules and guidelines that govern Division I competition. For the benefit of the many alumni, fans and booster club members who are so active in supporting and assisting the Wildcats throughout the year, it is important to know some definitions and rules that apply to all athletic representatives and boosters.

General Compliance Rules of Thumb
In the eyes of the NCAA, you could be considered a representative of K-State's athletic interests, and considered a "booster." As such, please exercise caution whenever you come in contact with current and prospective K-State athletes, even those who have recently completed their K-State athletic careers. It is extremely important that you know and abide by all NCAA regulations:

• Contact the Compliance Services Office with any questions or interpretive matters.
• Remember that in most cases CONTACT with a prospect is prohibited.
• If you think it is wrong, then it probably is.
• No question is too small or insignificant to ask.
For more on what is and is not acceptable, call the Athletic Department's Compliance Services Office at 785-532-3990 before doing something that may jeopardize a student-athlete's eligibility to compete for K-State.
