Community Cultural Harmony Week

Jardine TowersCommunity Cultural Harmony Week (CCHW), formerly known as Racial/Ethnic Harmony Week, was founded by K-State student Barbara Baker in 1988 with the support of the Student Government Association. The common goal of CCHW is to promote opportunities for learning and greater understanding among all people. The focus is to recognize the rich diversity of different cultures and customs of all people who comprise our community, to raise awareness, urge tolerance, acceptance, inclusion, and celebrate those differences.

Throughout the week a variety of programs, workshops and organized events are scheduled. Sponsors of CCHW include: the City of Manhattan, Kansas State University, K-State Student Union, K-State Alumni Association, and USD 383.

For more information about CCHW, please contact Jessica Elmore by e-mail, or call 800-600-ALUM (2586) or 785-532-6260.
