Please read the note from Marcelo below for more information.
Dear K-State Alumni,
My name is Marcelo Sabatés, and I am the Associate Provost for International Programs at Kansas State University. My wife and I have been at Kansas State since 1997, where we have been faculty members and program directors. I became Associate Provost in 2011.
K-State is strengthening its international dimension in every respect. We have more than 1,800 international students from more than 100 countries, international agreements with institutions on every continent and an increasing number of students having study abroad experiences. In particular, we have started to develop strategic ties with universities and other institutions in Latin America, especially in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, aiming at joint research and student and faculty exchange. We are also implementing agreements with cultural institutions in the region, developing an educational website on Latin America and planning new study abroad groups to the area.
As part of this strategic decision to focus on Latin America, it is very important for us to establish contact with our Argentinean alumni. With this in mind, we want to invite you and your family to a dinner to be offered on Thursday, March 22 at 20:30PM in the Restaurant GIOIA, Av. Alvear 1661, Buenos Aires.
If you are in contact with other K-State graduates, we would ask you to let them know about the event or give us their current email address.
We would be grateful if you can confirm your attendance and the number of people that would come with you.
