Each year, the Alumni Association presents Multicultural Leadership Awards to four outstanding multicultural students for their achievements during their college careers at
K-State. The individual award recipients are nominated by faculty members. They are recognized at the Multicultural Graduation Celebration in May.
"We are proud to honor these students for their years of service and
leadership through multicultural organizations and activities," said
Alumni Association president Amy Button Renz. "The results of their
efforts in encouraging diversity will leave lasting marks on the
university."
The 2013 recipients are:

Macario Benavides, education and modern languages, Allen, Texas

Bronson Blackwell, accounting, Wichita, Kan.

Christa Martinez, social work, Wichita, Kan.

Angela Muhwezi, biology, Wichita, Kan.
