Just for Juniors introduces high school juniors to K-State in a small setting close to home. This event comes at just the right time as students begin to think about where to go after high school graduation. Three participating students will win $100 K-State scholarships through a drawing held at each event.
This unique and fun-filled event brings prospective and current students together. Student Alumni Board
(SAB) members travel to communities across the state to host Just for Juniors events throughout the fall and spring. The dean of student life, a representative from the financial aid office and an admissions representative also speak to participants and their parents.
Prospective students have the opportunity to talk with SAB members about career options and student life issues. The K-State student ambassadors also give a presentation about college life. Meanwhile, parents can participate in a question-and-answer session about financial aid, scholarships and admissions.
The Alumni Association and Student Alumni Board host four Just for Juniors programs through the fall and spring in the Kansas towns of Manhattan, Topeka, Kansas City and Wichita. Student recruitment programs have been part of the Alumni Association's commitment to student recruitment since the early 1980s.
