Every year, K-State Alumni and Catbacker clubs throughout the state help promote Kansas State University, the K-State Alumni Association and K-State Athletics while assisting in fundraising efforts for student scholarships.

K-State staff members travel to these annual events, including golf tournaments and banquets. K-State alumni, friends and future students are invited to meet some of their favorite Wildcat coaches and K-State guests while visiting with fellow K-Staters.

This year, many of the clubs will add a same-day event for children that will allow them to interact with K-State student-athletes. Closer to each event, more information will be available on the events webpage on the Alumni Association’s website.

Alumni Club events are in progress nationwide, while the annual Kansas-based Catbacker tour will kick off May 18 in Dodge City.

"The Alumni Association board of directors is committed to helping prospective students attend K-State, and the alumni club scholarship program is a vital component in assisting those efforts," said Amy Button Renz, president and CEO of the Alumni Association. "We greatly appreciate local alumni and friends who have helped make these awards possible through their loyal support."
The scholarships will be for the 2015-16 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards approximately $350,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming.
