Spirit Aerosystems scholarship program announced

Spirit AeroSystems Inc. announced the creation of a $576,000 scholarship program in conjunction with the Kansas Board of Regents, Wichita State University, Kansas State University and the University of Kansas.

The Spirit Scholars Program is targeted at individuals interested in a career in engineering and business. Spirit AeroSystems intends for the scholarships to be renewed up to three years so long as the recipients meet the required criteria and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. 

The 2016-17 freshman class will be the first to receive the scholarships. Recipients will engage with Spirit AeroSystems throughout their university experience, including a guaranteed Spirit internship interview after completing their sophomore year.
