More than 30,000 Kansas State University fans from 45 states are traveling to Arizona to cheer on the football team in the 2013 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Thursday.

Before the players take on the Oregon Ducks, Wildcat fans will have plenty of ways to celebrate and support the team.

The always-popular K-State pep rally takes place today at Chase Field, 401 E. Jefferson St., in Phoenix. The event, which is free for attendees, is sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association, K-State Athletics, KSU Foundation and the President's Office and features the football team, coaches, band, cheerleaders, university dignitaries and Willie the Wildcat.

“K-State fans love the pep rally,” said Gavin Hargrave, associate director of alumni programs for the Alumni Association and one of the event organizers. “Every year we have a fantastic turnout, and everyone seems to enjoy the chance to cheer on Coach Snyder and the team before they hit the field.”

Last year more than 20,000 fans attended the pep rally before the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, Texas.

After this year’s pep rally, fans who purchased tickets can stay at Chase Field for the K-State Bowl Bash to celebrate the Wildcats’ 2012 football season. Registration was required for this event, and it was included in the Alumni Association’s travel packages to the bowl. On game day, fans also may attend the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl College Football’s Biggest Party. The event will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the University of Phoenix stadium. Tickets to this event also were included in Alumni Association travel packages.

Fans who couldn’t make it to Arizona still have plenty of chances to cheer on the Wildcats. Click here for a listing of watch parties across the country. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. (MST) Thursday.
