K-State fans travel to Memphis for Liberty Bowl

K-State Alumni Communications

Kansas State University alumni and friends painted Memphis, Tennessee, purple as they traveled to cheer on the 'Cats in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2. The K-State Alumni Association provided a variety of activities for the traveling fans, including a pregame buffet and indoor tailgate. K-State Athletics, KSU Foundation, President's Office and K-State Alumni Association sponsored a pep rally with the Marching Band and cheerleaders. Travelers also had a chance to sample the sights and sounds of Memphis, such as watching the famous Beale Street Parade and visiting Elvis Presley's Graceland.
