Wildcats to celebrate 100 years of Homecoming

Kansas State University alumni, students, faculty and staff will celebrate a century of Homecoming on Oct. 11-17, hosted by the K-State Alumni Association. Homecoming offers a chance for alumni to return to the university, reconnect with classmates and make new memories. This year's theme is A Century of Coming Home. 

Mark your calendar now for these Homecoming events and traditions, with more information to follow in future issues of the monthly @K-State Alumni Association e-newsletter, the fall issue of the K-Stater magazine and the Alumni Association's website.

• 5K Run/Walk, Oct. 11. Begins at 10 a.m., Alumni Center.

• Paint the 'Ville, Oct. 13. Window painting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aggieville.

• Children's Carnival, Oct. 15. From 6 to 8 p.m., K-State Student Union. 

• Parade, Oct. 16. Begins at 5 p.m. at Manhattan Town Center and concludes in City Park. Parade registration is now open and can be found online at www.k-state.com/homecoming.

• Pep Rally, Oct. 16. Immediately following the end of the parade, approximately 6:30 p.m., Larry Norvell Band Shell.

• Homecoming football game vs. Oklahoma, Oct. 17.
