The K-State Alumni Association
showed its purple pride at the ball diamond by sponsoring the series of K-State
baseball games against Oklahoma May 8-10.
The sponsorship supported
K-State athletics and helped to raise awareness of the Alumni Association, which
ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 based on the percentage of graduates who are members
for 19 consecutive years.
At the May 9 game, Walker McClellan, son
of K-State Alumni Association Board of Directors Chairman Roger McClellan, class
of 1988, threw the ceremonial first pitch, while his older brother, Stratton,
looked on. Walker impressed the crowd and players with a fast pitch straight
across home plate.
