The Powercat Auction, K-State Athletics' single largest fundraising event, supports the Ahearn Fund, K-State’s National Fund for Student-Athlete Excellence. The April 26 event raised more than $300,000 to directly enhance the student-athlete experience for all Wildcat student-athletes.
This year’s event also featured a special presentation of the 2012 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award to Wildcat head football coach Bill Snyder. Among the representatives from the Bobby Dodd Foundation on hand to present the award were Chairman Jim Terry, Homer Rice, Coach Bill Curry and Gary Stokan from the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
