Students come to Kansas State University from across the state, the country and the world. This month, the university will say goodbye to many of those students as they graduate and carry on the K-State legacy in their new careers.

K-State commencement ceremonies are scheduled as follows: K-State Salina Campus, May 9; Graduate School and Veterinary Medicine, May 15; and all remaining colleges on the Manhattan campus, May 16.

The K-State Alumni Association is honoring those students — and celebrating their new status as alumni — with three celebrations: International Graduation Celebration, Grad Bash and Multicultural Graduation Celebration. The events also provide an opportunity for students to network with each other before leaving the university.

 International Graduation Celebration
International undergraduate and graduate students celebrated their graduation early with an International Graduation Celebration on May 1. The event, which took place at the Alumni Center, included food, fun, prizes and awards.

 Grad Bash
All spring and summer 2015 graduates are invited to the K-State Alumni Center for Grad Bash from 4 to 6 p.m. May 7. The event, to celebrate graduation, includes free food and live music from the Mikey Needleman Band. Door prizes will include an official K-State Ring, diploma frames by Church Hill Classics, football tickets and other K-State-related items. All students who attend will receive a special gift from the Alumni Association. Free T-shirts also are available for the first 500 graduates. The event will take place rain or shine.

 Multicultural Graduation Celebration
Multicultural undergraduate and graduate students also will enjoy a special celebration this month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 15, in the K-State Alumni Center Ballroom.

Graduating students receive one free year of membership to the Alumni Association.
