Kansas State University fans and alumni are spread out across the United States, but they enjoy coming together for a common cause. K-State supporters in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Kansas City areas recently gathered to celebrate the university, network with other Wildcats and raise funds for scholarships.

The 20th annual Dallas/Ft. Worth Woods and Wildcats Scholarship Golf Scramble took place April 17, followed by a dinner and awards presentation at the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club. The event drew 40 golfers and 59 guests for dinner.

Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club golf pro W. Kit Thomson, a 1972 K-State graduate, also was one of the special guests at the event.

The event raised money for the Kansas State Texans Alumni Club Scholarship Fund. Scholarships for $3,000 each were given to Erin Payne of Coppell, Texas, and Emma Harding of Southlake, Texas. One additional $3,000 scholarship will be awarded this year.
