Get ready to show off your Kansas State University spirit at the annual
K-State Day at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas. Wear your purple
gear and join other K-State fans on Sunday, Sept. 13.
university will host pep rallies at noon and 5:30 p.m. at the Nex-Tech Wireless
Stage at Lake Talbott, featuring Frank Tracz, K-State director of
bands, and the K-State Marching Band, the cheer squad and Willie the
Wildcat. Pat Bosco '71, '73, vice president for student life/dean of students,
will speak at the event. Also be sure to watch for Willie around the fairgrounds
throughout the day.
This year's state fair runs from Sept. 11-20 at
the fairgrounds at 2000 N. Poplar St.
In addition to the pep rallies,
you can catch up with K-Staters at the Admissions/New Student Services booth in
the Meadowlark Building and the College of Agriculture booth and the K-State
Research and Extension booth, both in the Pride of Kansas
Another favorite K-State state fair tradition is the
Birthing Center, hosted by the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the
K-State College of Veterinary Medicine and located at the south end of the
fairgrounds. Fairgoers can witness the birth of calves, lambs and piglets, as
well as learn more about animal health, care and welfare.
