Get ready to show off your Kansas State University spirit at the annual K-State Day at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas. Wear your purple gear and join other K-State fans on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The university will host pep rallies at noon and 5:30 p.m. at the Nex-Tech Wireless Stage at Lake Talbott, featuring Frank Tracz, K-State director of bands, and the K-State Marching Band, the cheer squad and Willie the Wildcat. Pat Bosco '71, '73, vice president for student life/dean of students, will speak at the event. Also be sure to watch for Willie around the fairgrounds throughout the day.

This year's state fair runs from Sept. 11-20 at the fairgrounds at 2000 N. Poplar St.

In addition to the pep rallies, you can catch up with K-Staters at the Admissions/New Student Services booth in the Meadowlark Building and the College of Agriculture booth and the K-State Research and Extension booth, both in the Pride of Kansas Building.

Another favorite K-State state fair tradition is the Birthing Center, hosted by the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the K-State College of Veterinary Medicine and located at the south end of the fairgrounds. Fairgoers can witness the birth of calves, lambs and piglets, as well as learn more about animal health, care and welfare.
