Our 15-day tour begins in Lima with a visit to the Mali Art Museum and a city tour. Spend two nights in the magnificent Sacred Valley touring important Inca sites and indigenous villages. Travel by train to Machu Picchu, the stunning “Lost City of the Incas,” staying overnight at the on-site Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. Return to historic Cuzco to explore this archaeological hub of the Americas, and enjoy lunch in the home of a gracious Cuzco family. Fly via Quito to the Galapagos Islands, where you’ll enjoy a four-night stay on Santa Cruz Island. Learn about Darwin’s “living laboratory” up close as you observe the giant Galapagos tortoises, Blue-footed Boobies, sea lions, iguanas, and abundant birdlife during ship-based and land-based excursions. Return to Quito for the final night of your journey. Discover the Amazon’s amazing flora, fauna, and even villages on an optional 4-day/4-night pre-tour excursion including a guided Canopy Walkway tour and visit with ribereños (Amazon river people).
