Japantown, San Francisco, CA
The K-State Japanese Yosakoi Dance Club will be performing and showing off their purple pride at the 52nd Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival on April 20-21. Each year, more than 220,000 individuals attend this festival in Japantown, San Francisco.
1-3 p.m. April 20: at the Japanese Community and Cultural Center. K-State's team will perform at 1:45 p.m., plus after the group performance, they will have collaborative dances with the other Yosakoi groups performing.
3:30-5:30 p.m. April 20: at the main stage in the Peace Plaza. The K-State team will perform at 4:15 p.m., and again collaborative dances after that.
1-3 p.m. April 21: The K-State team will perform during the Grand Parade. They are 35th in the line up, but all the Yosakoi groups will be marching together. K-State’s team will be quite visible wearing their purple Powercat Happi costumes.
