Remembering An Icon

History records Barry Flinchbaugh's legacy as a national name in agricultural policy and economics. Flinchbaugh, whose career in agricultural policy at Kansas State University spanned nearly a half-century, died on Nov. 2. He was 78 years old. The longtime K-State professor leaves a lasting impact on university and the agriculture industry. The K-State Alumni Association remembers Flinchbaugh as a friend and honors his legacy with our videos below.

Three funds at Kansas State University bear his name: a scholarship to support students studying ag policy, a faculty chair in the Department of Agricultural Economics in his honor, and the Wildcat Pride award, which recognizes a K-State faculty or staff member for his/her advocacy of alumni relations through support and participation in Alumni Association programs that engage members of the Wildcat family.
