2019 Homecoming theme honors Kansas State University’s hometown

Posted September 4, 2019

Kansas State University will hold its 104th All-University Homecoming celebration Oct. 20-26. The K-State Alumni Association and the Student Homecoming Committee, who sponsor the week of events, have selected the 2019 Homecoming theme: Manhappiest Place on Earth.

The theme pays tribute to K-State’s hometown, Manhattan, Kansas, which is recognized regularly by national news outlets as a great community to live. In 2017, livability.com recognized as the best college town in America. The site has also lauded Manhattan as one of the 100 best places to live in 2018. Forbes has listed Manhattan as the best small place for business and careers.

“There’s a reason people buy T-shirts that say I miss Manhattan,” said Andrea Bryant Gladin, assistant vice president of alumni programs for the Alumni Association. “It’s truly a place where K-Staters feel right at home. We hope you’ll make a trip back to the ‘Manhappiest Place on Earth’ this October for Homecoming.”
