Parade
K-State alumni, friends and the Manhattan community gather for the highlight of Homecoming week! Each year special K-Staters are selected to serve as grand marshal. K-State students show off their parade entries and Homecoming-themed floats throughout downtown Manhattan and Aggieville.  View the parade route.

The 2017 parade grand marshal will be Larry Moeder '77,  associate vice president of student life and executive director of undergraduate admissions and student financial assistance. The 2017 parade will begin at 5 p.m., with the Pep Rally to follow at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Riley County Fire District 1 - This 5 ton tanker truck will be used for water transportation and fighting wildlife fires. With 1400 gallons of water this truck will serve as a vital fire fighting apparatus both on and off-road.

The Manhattan Mayor, City Commissioners, and USD 383 School Board Members are riding Old Engine #1, a 1947 American LaFrance. Old Engine #1 served the community as a functioning firefighting apparatus for 38 years, and was taken out of such service in 1985. The Engine was refurbished by the Manhattan Fire Department, in cooperation with The Sunflower Lions Club, and was dedicated as a fire prevention and public education tool in October, 1996.

Pep Rally
Immediately following the parade, join K-Staters for the spirit-filled pep rally at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park! The KSU Pep Band, cheerleaders, Classy Cats and Willie will be on hand to rev the crowd for Saturday's football game against Texas.

The winners of each Homecoming event and the overall Homecoming winners for each category will only be announced at the pep rally.
