K-State License Plate Program reaches 15,000 plates on the road
Wildcats in four states helped the K-State License Plate Program reach a new milestone: 15,000 K-State license plates on roadways.
The K-State Alumni Association started the License Plate Program in 1996. Plates are available in four states: Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Maryland. K-State also has the most affinity plates on the road of any program in the state of Kansas.
Additionally, tax deductible royalties paid on K-State license plates have raised more than $7 million for student scholarships and recognition of achievements.
“The scholarships and recognition programs for K-State students funded by the License Plate Program are some of the outstanding ways our Alumni Association reaches, connects and serves the K-State community,” said Adam Walker, president and CEO of the K-State Alumni Association. “It’s amazing to see the outstanding support of the K-Staters who choose to drive with pride and support our students and a spot they love.”
