K-State Alumni Club awards scholarships to students in the Wichita area
Seventy-six Wichita area students have been awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $60,750. The scholarships were awarded by the Wichita Area K-State Alumni Club, K-State Alumni Association, Compton Family Endowment, McCandless Family Endowment, Vanguard Endowment, the Ed Frey and BJ Wells Family, and the Schawe Family.
Seventy students received alumni club scholarships.
The recipients are: Molly Fitzgerald, Jack Friend and Eloise Hunter, Andover; Macey Batt, Taryn Bennett, Erika Block, Trinity Canaan, Grady Ditgen, Reese Hedstrom and Alayna Wehrman, Cheney; Holly Lane and Brooke Pates, Colwich; Kinsley Gordon and Cooper Scheer, Garden Plain; Ashtyn Koeppen, Elizabeth Martin and Reagan Rink, Goddard; Lily Boeding, Kechi; Emily Benninga, Jackson Hopkins and Kavan Palmer, Maize; Tarissa Barry, Mulvane; Cassidy Child, Park City; Elizabeth Allbritten, Katie Anderson, Isaiah Love and Addelyn Moore, Valley Center; and Ethan Armbrister, Cyera Asebedo, Thatcher Auten, Hayden Blackburn, Jakob Brennan, Julianna Chavez, Ainsley Cramer, Madi Dible, Colton Doll, Caleb Dossey, Hannah Ferguson, Emma Hays, Sam Hendrickson, Sarah Hendrickson, Lydia Howell, Mitchell Hoyle, Bri Humphrey, Audrey Jones, Easton Kaylor, Cami Kirera, Justin Kyle, Joseph Lawton, Zoe Lehr, Austin McPheeters, Josh Nelson, Olivia Nicoli, Cabrini Orr, Nathalia Ortega, Brayden Orth, Joey Ott, Mallory Pruitt, Saraeh Ransom, Cannon Reed, Izzy Sailing, Saydie Sanders, Jack Schuster, Olivia Short, Brandt Smith, Taytum Spencer, Bailey Stevens, Grace Stewart and Taylor Ward, Wichita.
Additionally, Tate Nelson, Garden Plain; received a Compton Family Endowed Scholarship. Ava Geurian, Colwich; and Taisen Hendershot, Maize; received McCandless Family Endowed Scholarships. Kyndall Sites, Wichita; received a Vanguard Endowment Scholarship. Sarah Caley, Wichita; received the Ed Frey and BJ Wells Family Scholarship. Sadie Hankins, Andover; and Alyvia Herbig, Wichita; received Schawe Family Scholarships.
“We are so pleased to congratulate these outstanding students,” said Alan Fankhauser, associate director of alumni programs for the K-State Alumni Association. “The Alumni Association board of directors is committed to helping prospective students attend K-State. We greatly appreciate local alumni and friends who have helped make these awards possible through their loyal support.”
There are more than 16,168 K-State alumni and friends in the Wichita area.
The scholarships are for the 2025-26 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards more than $650,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming.
