Ever it holds me with magic spell: K-State’s campus during the January winter storm
By Tim Schrag '12
Winter Storm Fern brought more than five inches of snow to Manhattan, Kansas, from Jan. 23-25. As the flakes continued to drop Tim Schrag ’12, senior editor of K-Stater magazine, put on his snow gear and grabbed a camera to take some photos of campus.
The claw of the Wildcat Statue on the Johnson Terrace was starting to disappear. When

Anderson Hall and its famous lawn are always putting on a show no matter the season.
Did you know that oak tree is likely more than 120 years old.
The flag poles at the WWII Memorial were proudly waving in the winter weather. Kansas
Day is coming up later this week on Jan. 29.

Snow collects on one of the few pine trees on campus. Pine trees aren’t common on campus because they don’t favor well in Kansas conditions.
