Alumni Association, Alumni Club award scholarships to students in the St. Joseph area
Seven area students have been awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $2,800. The scholarships were awarded by the St. Joseph Alumni Club, K-State Alumni Association and the Col. Gayle Foster Endowed Scholarship Fund.
The recipients are Kelsey Rebant, Atchison, Kansas; Clover Frakes, Elwood, Kansas; Maddy Goodson, Hiawatha, Kansas; Rance Vessar, Lancaster, Kansas; Michael Lee, Nortonville, Kansas; Lilly Carter, St. Joseph, Missouri; and Alyson Grable, Troy, Kansas.
“We are pleased to congratulate these outstanding students,” said Josh Diazdeleon, associate director of alumni programs for the K-State Alumni Association. “The Alumni Association board of directors is committed to helping prospective students attend K-State. We greatly appreciate local alumni and friends who have helped make these awards possible through their loyal support.”
The scholarships are for the 2026-27 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards more than $700,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming.
