Krystin Guggisberg will lead awards programs and special events for the K-State Alumni Association
Krystin Guggisberg ’10, ’18 will lead the Association’s outreach efforts in her role as associate director of alumni awards and engagement.
Guggisberg, who earned a bachelor’s in family studies and human services and a master’s in family and community studies, both from K-State, rejoined the Association staff in July. She previously worked as a programs assistant for the Association from 2010 to 2014. Most recently, Guggisberg served as senior director of programs at Special Olympics Kansas.
She replaces Michelle Elkins ’87, director of alumni awards and engagement, who will retire later this year after more than a decade in the role.
“I am honored to be re-joining the Alumni Association team and to be under Michelle Elkin's excellent tutelage for the next few months,” Guggisberg said. “I look forward to following in Michelle's footsteps of providing top-notch events and programming both on campus and across state lines.”
In her role, Guggisberg will direct the Colorado Wabash CannonBall gala, the Houston Crawfish Boil, the Alumni Fellows program and the Alumni Awards Evening. She will also manage the Alumni Excellence Award, the Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Awards and the Flinchbaugh Family Wildcat Pride Award.
