Purple Pack Catbackers, K-State Alumni Association award scholarships to students in the Arkansas City/Winfield area
Eleven area students have been awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $8,250. The scholarships were awarded by the Purple Pack Catbackers and the K-State Alumni Association.
The recipients are Ashlee Broce, Landen Larson and Hannah Schandorf, Arkansas City, Kansas; Ty Henderson, Burden, Kansas; Wade Martin, Dexter, Kansas; Haley Brogan, Lauren Kelley, Robert Meyer, Ellie Samms, Gabriella Schwilling and Kate Siok, Winfield, Kansas.
“We are so pleased to congratulate these outstanding students,” said Josh Diazdeleon, associate director of alumni programs for the K-State Alumni Association. “The Alumni Association board of directors is committed to helping prospective students attend K-State. We greatly appreciate local alumni and friends who have helped make these awards possible through their loyal support.”
The scholarships are for the 2026-27 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards more than $700,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming.
