Students receive scholarships from Franklin County Friends of K-State, K-State Alumni Association

Ten area students were awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $10,000 from the Franklin County Friends of K-State Alumni Club, the Col. Gayle Foster Endowed Fund, the K-State Alumni Association, the Huschka family and the Lancaster family.

The recipients are Arthur Simmons, Gridley, Kansas; Allison Konrade, Lebo, Kansas; Ashanty Graves and Kaytlynne Polsley, Ottawa, Kansas; Zeek Dowd and Kaylee Williams, Pomona, Kansas; and Oliver Dwyer, Wellsville, Kansas.

Additionally, Danielle Wendt, Wellsville, received the Jim and Sherry Huschka Family Scholarship; Jocelyn Jahn, Ottawa, received the Trent and Jody Lancaster Family Scholarship; and Berkley Love, Pamona, received the Jim Lancaster Memorial Scholarship.

“We are pleased to congratulate these outstanding students,” said Josh Diazdeleon, associate director of alumni programs for the K-State Alumni Association. “The Alumni Association board of directors is committed to helping prospective students attend K-State. We greatly appreciate local alumni and friends who have helped make these awards possible through their loyal support.”

The scholarships are for the 2026-27 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards more than $700,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming.
