Homecoming 5K

Kansas State University’s All-University Homecoming Committee has donated $4,000 to the Friendship Meals Program offered through the Manhattan Senior Center. Each year the Homecoming Committee identifies a beneficiary for the 5K proceeds. The funds were raised from proceeds collected at the 2023 All University Homecoming Philanthropy 5K Run/Walk.

The Homecoming 5K is sponsored by WTC Communications.

Friendship Meals provides a daily lunch to clients 60 and older; feeding over 230 meals per day to our local community.

A check for the proceeds was formally presented by Adam Walker, Alumni Association president and CEO, to Liz Nelson, Manhattan Senior Center director, at the K-State women’s basketball game on Feb. 10.

K-State has celebrated Homecoming for more than 100 years. The 2024 Homecoming Celebration will be the week of Oct. 20-26, kicking off the week with the 5K run/walk. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming celebration, www.k-state.com/Homecoming
