Three reasons we’re excited about K-State’s 2026 Day of Giving
On Wednesday, April 8, K-State is calling all Wildcats to come together and celebrate
their purple pride with the university’s 2026 Day of Giving.
Here are three reasons why all of us here at the K-State Alumni Association are so
excited to be a part of this moment:
1. What K-State’s Day of Giving is all about
On April 8, the university will kick off 24 hours of giving back and celebrating the
many things we love about K-State. Alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, friends
and fans are encouraged to donate to the university and help us fulfill our land-grant
promise to transform lives and change the world.
During the day, you can give to whatever cause, initiative or project you’re most
passionate about. Gifts can make an even bigger impact through hourly and daylong
challenges, and any gift can help your favorite unit (campus, college, school, program
or student organization) claim the top spot.
2. Connecting for a cause
During the 2026 Day of Giving, the K-State Alumni Association is highlighting several different ways we’re reaching out to the K-State community.
- Through Tradition Founders, gifts from alumni and friends of K-State help support the Alumni Association's annual operating budget. Your generosity makes all of our programs and activities possible, from alumni events, to student scholarships, to awards programs and more! LEARN MORE
- The K-State Alumni Center has become a special spot on campus for K-Staters, and we’re excited to evolve the center into the future through our “A Spot that I Love Full Well” renovation campaign. LEARN MORE
- Hear Sara Prince ’00, ’03 from the KSU Foundation chat about K-State’s Day of Giving on the latest episode of our podcast, The Scoop on K-State. LEARN MORE
3. What we can achieve together
During the 2025 Day of Giving, the K-State family came together to help raise over $3.4 million. We are so grateful to the more than 100 donors who supported the Alumni Association during last year’s event — we appreciate you!
"As lifelong fans of K-State, the university's Day of Giving was a great opportunity to expand how and where we give back to an institution that means so much to us," said Chuck ’91 and Denise Warta. "The K-State Alumni Center is a wonderful home on campus for K-State grads whenever they return to their alma mater, and we're excited to see the building renovation project take shape."
