Engineering Fellow

Jesse Schriner ’92, Redmond, Washington, is the global commercial cloud leader for Microsoft. In this role, Schriner oversees strategy and execution planning for delivery of cloud capacity to customers worldwide.

He began his career at Texas Instruments’ Defense Electronics Division, advancing to chief avionics engineer for missile integration on military aircraft.

Schriner completed General Electric’s Leadership Program in program management, research and development, application engineering, and services. He achieved a Six Sigma master black belt certification, followed by quality leader designation while becoming the first certified Lean Leader at GE. He also earned his master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Kansas.

Schriner was recruited to Microsoft; his leadership roles span entertainment and devices quality; global server and GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) deployment; product and process engineering for Windows hardware; and device manufacturing IT and supply chain operations.

Schriner and his wife, Sabrina ’92, have two children: Ethan and Zachary.

He graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in 1992.
