Each year, the Alumni Association honors two graduate students completing their programs in May, August or December of the award year for their achievements during their graduate career at K-State. The categories for the awards are:

powercat Graduate Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service: A graduate student who has made an impact by serving and leading the graduate student population.
powercat Graduate Award for Outstanding Academics: A graduate student who has contributed to their academic field of study.

Leadership and Service - Cheryl Zelle, Edwardsville, Kansas, doctoral candidate in adult learning and leadership

Academics - Hee Seong Kim, Seoul, South Korea, doctoral candidate in grain science and industry
