Doug Mann ’85, Plano, Texas, serves as HNTB’s president of corporate development and is a member of HNTB’s board of directors.

Mann oversees HNTB’s sales and growth organization, directing the chief sales officer and chief growth officer to ensure HNTB client expectations are met and effective strategies are implemented for adding new clients and ensuring execution of the strategic growth plan for continued, long-term growth of the ­firm.

He works directly with the CEO, division presidents and other leaders to discover what clients value and convert that understanding into strategies for exemplary service, ensuring sustainable client relationships. In addition, Mann currently serves on the corporate leadership team and is chairman of the HNTB PAC.

Mann joined HNTB in 1988. A registered landscape architect, Mann has 40 years of professional experience related to fi­tting complex and controversial transportation projects into the affected environment, creating mutual success for the public agency and community.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, Transportation Research Board and American Society of Landscape Architects. In 2008, Mann was elected to ASLA’s distinguished Council of Fellows, the highest honor the society may confer upon a member.

He and his wife, Kathy ’86, have a son, Nick.

Mann graduated from K-State with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture in 1985.
