Darting to lead the K-State Alumni Association’s membership and marketing programs

Krista DartingIn October, Krista Darting joined the K-State Alumni Association staff as associate director of membership and marketing.

In this role, she will lead the Alumni Association’s membership program and marketing efforts. This includes coordinating the Association’s affinity business partnerships, program sponsorships, external advertising and overseeing merchandise sales. Additionally, Darting will serve as the ad sales representative for K-Stater magazine.

Darting graduated from Kansas State University in 2000 with a degree in journalism and mass communications. While at K-State, she spent five years with the athletic department, working in sports information as a student and graduate assistant. The Silver Lake, Kansas, native also served as a feature writer for Powercat Illustrated and as a member of the morning show team on B104.7 (KXBZ-FM).

Prior to joining the Association, Darting was director of development for the Nashville Songwriters Association International. She also worked as a senior account executive at AdStaff Media on the Taco Bell and Gigi’s Cupcakes accounts and spent three years with the Orlando Magic in corporate partnerships and as the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation administrator.
