Celebrate Mother's Day the K-State Way
Are you and your mom celebrating this weekend, and need a few ideas of how to maximize your time together? Check out these five ideas our team at the K-State Alumni Association came up with for you and mom to have an amazing time this weekend in Manhattan, Kansas.
1. Grab a bite at Union Station by JP's
The Union Station by JP’s, located inside the K-State Student Union, is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and would be the perfect spot for a Mother’s Day brunch or dinner.
2. Stroll through K-State Gardens for Iris Day
The Iris Day event is happening from 1 to 4 p.m. and the K-State Gardens are open all day for a Mother’s Day stroll.
3. Hike the Konza Prairie trails
Feel like stretching your legs but not your budget? The Konza Prairie trails are open for hiking from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. everyday.
4. K-State baseball series vs. WVU
Cheer on the ‘Cats as they play a series against West Virginia this weekend. They play at 6 p.m. Friday, May 12, 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11, and 11 a.m. Sunday, May 12.
5. Strike up fun at the Wabash Cannon Bowl
Located in the K-State Student Union, the Wabash Cannon Bowl is a great way to have
it all - food, drinks, bowling, an arcade, pool and more! They're open Friday until
11 p.m., Saturday noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.

6. Have a blast at the Flint Hills Festival
