Students invited to Branding U application and interview workshop

Posted October 30, 2017

Spruce up your application writing skills at Branding U, a free workshop presented by the K-State Alumni Association's Student Alumni Board. Whether you’re writing an application for a campus organization, scholarship or internship, you’ll learn from the campus experts about how to put your best foot forward.

The workshop will take place Nov. 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the K-State Alumni Center Banquet Room.

Speakers include Jim Hohenbary ’95, director of the K-State Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, and representatives from Student Alumni Board.

“This workshop won’t just teach the typical grammar and logistical requirements for writing applications,” said Marcus Kidd ’14, ’16 assistant director of student programs. “The workshop will also show students how to best present their unique experiences on paper and connect with whoever might be reading their application.”

Light refreshments will be served. Event partners include the Kansas State University Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, the Career Center and the K-State Alumni Association.
