Students receive scholarships at K-State event in Wichita

Fifty-six area students were awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $17,700 at the Wichita Area K-State Alumni Club alumni/student dessert social July 25 in Wichita, Kansas.


The recipients are Kathryn Collins and Aaron Meyer, Andale, Kansas; Chace Cunningham, Emi Hayashi, Maddie Minihan, Faith Vautravers and Morgan Winters, Andover, Kansas; Courtney Davis and Connor Spellman, Augusta, Kansas; Kaci Foraker, Burrton, Kansas; McKenna Dome, Riley Eck, Sam Lubbers and Anna Spexarth, Colwich, Kansas; Haley Mills and Mariah White, Derby, Kansas; Katie Gann and Vanessa Kehr, Eastborough, Kansas; Melanie Deters, Goddard, Kansas; Kendal McGuire, Maize, Kansas; Abby Austin, Mount Hope, Kansas; Jaiden Ochoa, Newton, Kansas; Kasey Robinson and Eric Tinkler, Rose Hill, Kansas; and Kyle Bauer, Abby Beaver, Kendra Cunningham, Eric Ewers, Austin Freed, Sierra Gale, Rachel Genovese, Bryan Haist, Luke Hesse, Jarod Honas, JoAnn Irvin, Seth Jennings, Josi Johnson, Max Kubik, Michelle Le, Megan Licktieg, Addyson Maples, Kirby McCandless, MyKenzie McKusker, Kylee Mernagh, Jacob Miller, Jamison Mousley, Regan Mousley, Kyle Neville, Briana Priddle, Valerie Soukhaseum, Shelbie Stuckey, Derek Thurston, Weston Warner, Brad Webster, Samuel Weninger and Aidan Woods, Wichita.

 

The scholarships were awarded by the Wichita Area K-State Alumni Club, K-State Alumni Association, McCandless Family Endowment, Compton Family Endowment, Vanguard Endowment and the K-State President’s Office.

The scholarships are for the 2016-17 academic year. The Alumni Association annually awards more than $400,000 in student scholarships with funding provided by local K-State alumni and friends and Alumni Association programming. There are approximately 15,000 K-State alumni and friends in the Wichita area.
