K-State alumni, student and Catbacker event planned in Parsons May 24

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Amy Button Renz, president and CEO of the K-State Alumni Association; Bruce Weber, Kansas State University men’s basketball head coach; Jon Fabris, football defensive ends coach and assistant defensive coordinator; Brian Ostermann, women’s basketball associate head coach; and student-athlete ambassadors will be the guest speakers at the alumni/student/Catbackers banquet in Parsons on Wednesday, May 24.
 
The evening banquet, at VFW of Parsons, 105 E. Main St., begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. with the banquet, auction and raffle.
 
Other campus guests attending will be Wyatt Thompson, voice of the Wildcats; Matt Giller, assistant director of development, K-State Athletics; and Gavin Hargrave, associate director of alumni programs, K-State Alumni Association.
 
New to this year’s event will be games, inflatables and a free K-State T-shirt for all children in attendance. Scholarship drawings will benefit high school seniors and community college students attending K-State in fall 2017. There are more than 2,700 K-State alumni and friends in the southeast Kansas/Parsons area.
